Communication Studies II

EN 210 is a general core English course which is mandatory for all students registering for the Associate Degree at Corozal Junior College. This course is designed with the dual purpose to prepare students for the Communication Studies CAPE Examination and to nurture the effective use of language in communication skills by providing ample opportunities for the use of critical thinking and creativity in a wide range of genres and contexts. Furthermore, it provides exposure to a wide range of experiences in the wider curriculum, including the compilation of a portfolio, ability to communicate effectively in small group and organizational contexts, use of leadership skills, conducting mock interview and creating an awareness of the effects of technology and culture on language with the aim to foster conscientious and effective use of technology in communication.
