1. This is a one-credit hour laboratory in which basic lab activities will be performed to enhance the development of good experimental skills and to practice safety measures when using chemicals and laboratory equipment. In addition, this course provides students with a practical work that incorporates the major topics covered in CH 113 (Fundamentals in Chemistry). The activities help to reinforce the concepts and principles covered in the classroom. Some of the labs will involve topics such as Chemical Calculations and Stoichiometric Relationships, Volumetric Analysis, Energetics and Thermochemistry. These practical activities involve two hours of lab per week and require students to conduct all laboratory activities.
