COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Small Business Management introduces the nature of entrepreneurship. It provides students with a background of the different skills required for small business management. It focuses on challenges and opportunities faced by entrepreneurs, the environment’s impact on small business, identifying agencies and describing the types of agencies that offer assistance to small business. It also draws on topics including the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and challenges faced by them, choosing a type of business and operations management, globalization, e-commerce, marketing and market research, finance, and developing and presenting a business plan.
