This course is designed to enhance students’ essay writing skills with emphasis on critical analysis of narrative, descriptive, expository, and argumentative essays.  Through research students will further practice essay skills and produce a research essay on a topic of their choice.  This course also introduces students to interpretive literature and the analysis and interpretation of elements of fiction and poetic devices found in literary works.
